It's that time of year again. The celebration of the founding of our great country. Patriotism, flags, pride, thanksgiving, and fireworks are possibly some of the things you think about. What about taxes? Again, we are in a situation in which we are being unfairly taxed and inefficiently taxed. We are looking to change both of these problems. Please work with us to promote the FairTax Plan nationally and here in our state of South Carolina.
As our independence was years ago, this a grassroots movement. Momentum is growing and with your help we will have a FairTax.
During this time of celebration, we need to take the time to spread the message about the FairTax. Talking with family and friends is a great place to start. If you have the opportunity, some of the events listed below will be great in terms of reaching people. Please wear your FairTax shirts, stop by our booths, and have a fun time raising awareness of the FairTax.

With the introduction of the FairTax into the South Carolina House, it is more urgent than ever to inform South Carolinians about the FairTax and how they will benefit from it. Over the next few weeks, SCFairTax leadership will be working hard to this end. However, your help is needed and greatly appreciated.
You will begin to see some changes on this website and some tools provided to help inform your family, friends, and communities. Coming up, there will be contact information for representatives as well as suggestions on ways to become involved.
It is encouraging to see the FairTax start to advance here in South Carolina. Much of this is due to your help and persistence. Please continue to join local FairTax groups and encourage others to join you.

Dear Fairtax supporters,
There were two significant developments in the SC House of Representatives Last week. As promised during his address at the Save the Nation Rally in Columbia on April 15th, State Representative Rex Rice initiated action to implement the FairTax in South Carolina.
The first initiative was Amendment 9 to the "TRAC" Bill legislation that forms a special committee to study South Carolina's tax codes and recommend improvements to the legislature that would make South Carolina a more economically competitive environment for job growth and investment. The amendment instructs the committee to study the FairTax as a possible alternate to our current tax codes. |
